Scott Barnes says he left Jennifer Lopez, because Lopez still owes him for work he did for her wedding to Marc Anthony. On that day, Barnes — hired just to beautify J.Lo — ended up working on some of her family and friends. "I came over on the pretense of business," the make-up artist told Us Weekly. "I ended up doing five times the work and wasn't paid. All I really wanted was an apology, and it's sad that after four years I can't even get that."

New Eminem Album, Encore, Due In November

It turns out Eminem's show has an encore — fans just had to wait two and a half years for it, rather than the typical couple of minutes.
The rapper otherwise known as Slim Shady will release Encore, the follow-up to 2002's smash The Eminem Show, on November 16. Details on the release, such as the first single or collaborators, have not yet been revealed, but Em's spokesperson said the album will feature all new material.
Along with his own album, Eminem recently recorded a verse for a remix of the country's #1 song, "Lean Back" (see "Eminem, Mase Pitch In To Make 'Lean Back' Even Hotter").
Em last hit record stores in April with D12 World, the second album from his hometown crew, which has produced a couple of hits in "My Band" and "How Come."
D12 earned three Video Music Award nominations but left Sunday's ceremony empty-handed (see "Outkast, Jay-Z Win Big At Vmas; Usher, No Doubt Land Multiple Moonmen"). Eminem was not present with the rest of the group, who attended wearing Detroit Pistons garb.

Beyonce Knowles has been paid $3.6 million for only one day's work. The 22 year old singer, spent 24 hours filming the black and white Tommy Hilfiger ads to launch the fashion giant's new True Star perfume.
Knowles says, "It's the easiest job I've ever had." The ads will appear on TV and in magazines from September.

A lump of chewing gum spat out by Britney Spears is up for sale on eBay. But website bosses had to change their description of the "piece of pop history" after they realised it flouted their Human Body and Remains policy. The original advert said: "For you budding scientists out there, this means Britney's DNA is all over this piece." The revised description was changed to: "I am now allowed to list this item with a few alterations to my wording. "This is the chance to own a piece of pop history...right from the mouth of the pop princess." The gum, complete with teeth marks, was collected in an airtight container after the star, 22, spat it out in the foyer of a London hotel. EBay said that originally the selling point had been the DNA the gum offered but that would have contravened the site's rules on selling anything connected to the human body.

Thomson's credits also include Sean "P. Diddy" Combs's Sean John line, helping the music entrepreneur step into the fashion arena. J.Lo, whose 3-year-old clothing line is one of the fashion industry's success stories, hired Thomson two years ago for the J.Lo by Jennifer Lopez junior collection. "Heather went somewhere else to work. ... I wish Heather the best," Andy Hilfiger, Sweetface's cofounder and director (and brother of lifestyle wear designer Tommy Hilfiger) confirmed to Women's Wear, which notes that Beyonce, 22, and J.Lo, who turns 34 on Saturday, have been competing on the airwaves and now stand to face off in the retail arena. NASHVILLE (Billboard) - David Bowie's A Reality tour of North America was the top-grossing trek for the first half of 2004, according to numbers reported to Billboard Boxscore.
The veteran rock artist grossed $45.4 million from 82 shows that drew 722,158 fans.
Bowie was recently forced to cancel the final 10 dates on the European leg of the tour. At the time it was said he was suffering from a pinched nerve. Shortly after, he underwent emergency heart surgery for a blocked artery.
Other top tours for the period included Bette Midler ($40 million), Simon &
Garfunkel ($36 million), Shania Twain ($34 million), Prince ($26 million), Rod Stewart ($25 million), Metallica ($22 million), Beyonce/Alicia Keys/Missy Elliott ($19 million), Britney Spears ($19 million) and George Strait ($16 million).
