Rosie O'Donnell get's Married
EW
Rosie O'Donnell wanted to get married, while she still can. She and longtime partner Kelli Carpenter flew from New York to San Francisco on Thursday, where they picked up a marriage license and tied the knot at City Hall. About 3,300 same-sex couples have gotten married in the city since Mayor Gavin Newsom began allowing gay nuptials there two weeks ago, and while there's a waiting list at City Hall stretching into April, O'Donnell was apparently able to pull rank as a celebrity to jump to the front of the line. According to the Associated Press, the comedian wore a powder blue blazer and carried a bouquet of purple and yellow flowers as she and Carpenter left the civil ceremony, while the San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus serenaded them with ''Going to the Chapel.''
The nuptials took place two days after President George W. Bush endorsed a Constitutional amendment preventing states from recognizing gay marriages, and one day before California's attorney general was to file a lawsuit that could end the current rush down the aisle in San Francisco. Before leaving New York on Thursday, O'Donnell appeared on ABC's ''Good Morning America,'' where she said the president's action had prompted her imminent nuptials. ''I think the actions of the president are, in my opinion, the most vile and hateful words ever spoken by a sitting president,'' she said.
She added that her recent courtroom dispute with the former publisher of Rosie magazine proved to her that gay couples don't enjoy many rights and protections that married straight couples might take for granted. ''We applied for spousal privilege and were denied it by the state. As a result, everything that I said to Kelli, every letter that I wrote her, every e-mail, every correspondence and conversation was entered into the record,'' O'Donnell said. ''After the trial, I am now and will forever be a total proponent of gay marriage.''

Britney Spears Releasing Diddy-Produced Song On DVD
VH1
As Britney Spears readies for her tour, she's making sure there's plenty of her to go around while fans wait for her to come around. The singer's about to release a DVD that'll include pre-tour concert footage as well as bonus tracks.
The songs are found on the CD portion of Spears' "In the Zone" DVD, due March 23. The first is called "Don't Hang Up," and it finds the singer pleading on the phone for her lover to keep her satisfied long-distance.
The second song is the P. Diddy-produced "The Answer," which both artists had talked up before the album's release. In the song, Spears sings that her lover is the answer to all her needs: "Who can hold me tight, keep me warm through the night?/ Who can wipe my tears when it's wrong, make it right?/ Who can give me love till I'm satisfied?/ Who's the one I need in my life?"
Video clips of Spears' first two singles, "Me Against the Music" and "Toxic" (as well as the "Making the Video" episode of the latter), are also featured.
The bulk of the DVD concentrates on the live performances that last year helped tease Spears' then-upcoming album. Some of those shows were short — such as her two-song set for MTV's Spankin' New Music week and the half-hour surprise appearance at club Rain in Las Vegas. But her also-included hour-long ABC concert special, "Britney Spears: In the Zone," offers somewhat of a preview of her upcoming tour.
Shot in New York's Gotham Hall in October, the show featured stage settings evoking "Cabaret," and Spears is taking the New York theater motif even further with the Onyx Hotel tour. According to a source close to the production, this tour is "less Vegas" than previous productions, with no stage extended into the audience.
The trek's "Onyx Hotel" resembles Tommy Tune's Broadway musical "Grand Hotel," which portrayed a day in the life of the Berlin Grand Hotel in 1928. Spears has been decked out in 1920s/1930s hairstyles in promotional pictures for the tour and her Showtime concert special, which airs live from the Miami tour stop on March 28 at 9 p.m. ET (tape-delayed on the West Coast). Spears will take the role of hostess of the Onyx Hotel, with her dancers becoming the hotel staffers and audience members finding themselves to be the invited guests.
The tour kicks off March 2 in San Diego and hits 25 North American cities before wrapping up April 12 in New York. Following the North American tour, Spears heads to Europe on April 27, playing England, Scotland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Austria and Ireland. Closing out the European tour, Spears hits the stage at Portugal's Rock in Rio-Lisbon festival on June 5.

www.wildwritings.com
Kelis was asked what she thought about the Diplomats and 50 Cent clowning her. "I think it's fabulous, I love it. I want more," she said. "Oh yeah, if I was a rapper, I would totally instigate the situation. Actually I did instigate the situation on my 'Milkshake' remix. I think it's great. The fact that they're so concerned with me is fabulous, considering that I'm totally unconcerned with them, so I love the attention. And beyond that, it's free promotion that Arista and I don't have to pay for. So they should talk on."

Hilary Duff vs. Lindsay Lohan : Whos side do you take?
www.wildwritings.com
They act, they sing and they've both dated Aaron Carter. The Britney and Christina of young Hollywood, Hilary Duff and Lindsay Lohan battle for fans, roles and boyfriends.
Older by 14 months, Lohan turns 18 this summer. She modeled at three and starred in dozens of TV commercials and the soap "Another World" before making her feature film debut at 11 in Disney's "The Parent Trap."
Duff turns 17 this fall. She danced professionally at six and earned her first role at 10 in a mini-series. Her feature film debut was "Casper Meets Wendy," the same year Lohan starred in "The Parent Trap." Duff also joined forces with Disney, starring in her own series, "Lizzie McGuire." Her TV success led to "The Lizzie McGuire Movie."
Lohan's recently starred in "Freaky Friday" while Duff appeared in "Cheaper by the Dozen" and their feud escalated at the premieres for both movies.
Lohan used to date pop star Aaron Carter who allegedly broke up with her to date Duff. Carter and Duff showed up at the "Freaky Friday" premiere causing a ruckus. Then, when Lohan made an appearance at the "Cheaper by the Dozen" premiere, an infuriated Duff tried to have her thrown out.
Besides sharing the same taste in boyfriends, both actresses also sing. Lohan performed on the "Freaky Friday" soundtrack -- and has a five album deal with Emilio Estefan. Duff sang on the "Lizzie" soundtrack then signed a lucrative deal with Disney's record label. Her debut album, "Metamorphosis," charted at No. 1.
Next up, Lohan has three films: "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen," Mean Girls" and "Dramarama." Duff is working on "A Cinderella Story," "Heart of Summer" and "The Perfect Man." No doubt, it's not Carter.

The Low Down: Janet Jackson Halftime
www.wildwritings.com
Here is a rundown of that happened, we will tell you
the facts - you decide.
February 1 - Superbowl Halftime show. Within
seconds of the 'costume tearing,' Virgin Records
(Janet's record company) issues a world-wide press
release about her new album. (Ironic.)
As Justin was leaving the field, he stated: "I am sorry
that anyone was offended by the wardrobe
malfunction during the halftime performance of the
Super Bowl,"
After the broadacst, CBS said "CBS deeply regrets
the incident." Hours later, the NFL stated "We were
extremely disappointed by elements of the MTV-
produced halftime show, they were totally
inconsistent with assurances our office was given
about the content of the show. It's unlikely that
MTV will produce another Super Bowl halftime."
A day after, MTV gave a very trite comment, saying,
"The tearing of Janet Jackson's costume was
unrehearsed, unplanned, completely unintentional."
The last comments to be contributed to this media
frenzy was none other then Janet Jackson.
On February 3, (The day Janet's single hits radio) Janet released a statement saying: "The decision to have a costume reveal at the end of my halftime show performance was made after final rehearsals. MTV was completely unaware of it," Jackson said. "It was not my intention that it go as far as it did. I apologize to anyone offended — including the audience, MTV, CBS and the NFL."
While it seems too ironic that this all happened the day of Janet's new single hits radio, we will let you decide. We just wanted to keep you abreast of things.

Janet reveals Right Breast on Superbowl
www.wildwritings.com
Wild Writings can confirm Justin Timberlake did indeed rip off Janet Jackson's right cup and revealed her right breast (glittered, none the less) to millionsof Superbowl viewers.
Top CBS executives approved a musical skit where Janet Jackson would expose her breast by *NSYNC star Justin Timberlake during the MTV-produced Super Bowl half-time concert, the Drudge Report has learned. "Its decision to go forward, went to the very top of the network," a well-placed source explained from New York.
CBS's main New York switchboard was immediately bombarded with complaints about the stunt, network sources said late Sunday.
The NFL claimed outrage over the stunt: Statement by NFL Executive Vice President Joe Browne regarding the Super Bowl halftime show: "We were extremely disappointed by elements of the MTV-produced Halftime show. They were totally inconsistent with assurances our office was given about the show. It's unlikely that MTV will produce another Super Bowl halftime."
"I am sorry if anyone was offended by the wardrobe malfunction during the halftime performance at the Super Bowl," Timberlake said of the incident. "It was not intentional and is regrettable."
Jackson did not release an official statement after the game, but her representatives told MTV News that she apologizes for the incident.

Mary-Ellis Bunim, Co-Creator Of 'Real World' And 'Road Rules,' Dies
MTV
Mary-Ellis Bunim, who helped launch the reality TV genre by co-creating the long-running MTV hits "The Real World" and "Road Rules," has died. She was 57.
Bunim passed away in Burbank, California, on Thursday after a lengthy battle with breast cancer.
Born in North Hampton, Massachusetts, Bunim started her work in television with soap operas, serving as the executive producer for "As the World Turns," "Santa Barbara" and "Loving." In 1987 she paired with Jonathan Murray, whose background was in TV news, to merge the documentary nature of news and the intrigue of soap operas for a dramatic series that would feature real people and their stories rather than actors and scripts — "The Real World."
After the 1992 debut of "The Real World," Bunim's work in reality television continued with partner Murray as their company, Bunim/Murray Productions, launched such MTV shows as "Road Rules" and "Making the Band" (which first aired in 1995 and 2000, respectively) as well as shows for FOX such as 2001's "Love Cruise" and the recent smash hit "The Simple Life," starring Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie. Bunim teamed with New Line for the 2003 feature film "The Real Cancun."
