Daniel Emmett
we're wild about pop culture!
WW: Tell us a little about you, your life?
DE: My name is Daniel Emmett, and I am currently residing in
Sacramento California.  I am an up and coming artist and
performer. I enjoy people, nature, animals, and love to perform.
My life as of now is pretty busy, because I have a lot of
projects going on.  Amongst other things  I am writing and
recording an album, conceiving my live stage show, and
preparing for a music video shoot.

WW: What made you want to become a singer?
DE:  I feel that music was instilled in me from the beginning.
There is no particular point in my life that just made up my
mind. It is something that has always been with me ever since I
was a little boy.  I have always loved music, and remember how
focused and  happy that it has made me throughout my life. I am very thankful for that.

WW: Growing up, who were your musical influences?
DE:  Michael Jackson, Boys II Men, the Eagles, Hanson...believe it or not, and Al Green. There is a long list.... but these are the main musical influences.
WW: You have signed with ERA Productions, How has this experience been? We are working out the details, but I am definitely working with them on this album. Eddie and Ryan (of ERA) are two of the most talented individuals that I have had the pleasure to work with.  All experiences have been rewarding, motivational, and a lot of fun.... they really know what they are doing.

WW: Can you describe the sound of your new solo album?
DE: We have all kinds of ideas for this album, but I would have to say that it is leaning more towards an "urban pop" sound than anything else.

WW: What do you prefer, recording in the studio or performing live?
DE:  Hmmmm... I love them both. I love dancing and crowd interaction, so performing is most definitely the most exciting and rewarding part of what I do.  It gives me the opportunity to meet a lot of people, and see a lot of places.  On the other hand the studio gives me the opportunity to be an artist, and express myself through song. I guess it depends.. they both effect me differently.

WW: You are currently rehearsing for your upcoming music video, "Dance." What can you tell us about it?
DE:  It's going to be a lot of fun. I am excited to be putting together a product that allows people from all over the world to "meet" me, and see how much I love what I do.  They are going to see some behind the scenes footage of rehearsals, pre-production, and get some up-close and personal footage.

WW: Wild Writings wishes you the best in the future!
DE:  Thank you so much for your time, and I wish you all the same!
