WW: Tell us a little about you, your life?
JD: Hey! My name is Jessie Daniels. I'm 16 years old. I
grew up and still live on Long Island, NY. My hobbies are
singing, dancing, and acting, I also like to hang out with
friends and go to youth group when I'm in town.
WW: How would you describe your music?
JD: It's rock music with both attitude and heart.
WW: What made you want to become a singer?
JD: It's always been a passion of mine to sing. I feel
really blessed to have been given the talent. I knew
that I wanted to sing when I realized that I could touch hearts and change lives with my music and the message given through my music.
WW: Who are your musical influences?
JD: I grew up listening to a lot of Broadway, Celine Dion, Mariah Carey, Bette Midler. But as for recent influences - Michelle Branch, Evanescence, Mandy Moore, and MercyMe.
WW: When can we expect a single and a debut album?
JD: My debut album is expected to release in June 2004. The Limited Edition EP is available now on my website at www.jessiedaniels.com!
WW: Will you be writing your lyrics to your debut album?
JD: I co-write the music and lyrics to all of my songs! I've been writing with songwriters like Scott Davis (Chely Wright, The Warren Bros.), Jamie Moore (Toby Mac, Jadyn Maria), and my producer Sam Mizell (RJ Helton, Jump 5). I think it is really important for the artist to put there heart into every song and to really make sure that the message they want to give is being portrayed the way they want it to be.
